Columbia CC squeezes by Argyle CC in WMGA A Team Finals

Columbia CC won the WMGA A Team Matches over Argyle CC  9.5 vs 8.5.

Storms surrounded both the beginning and the end of the Final Match of the WMGA A Team Matches. Storms hit Argyle CC Friday Night/Saturday Morning bring down 6 trees and washing out all of the courses bunkers and storms came back to delay the matches at Argyle CC again on Saturday afternoon.

At Columbia, Steve Delmar, PGA and and Brian McCormack won 3-0 over Kevin Taylor, PGA and Nick Harrington. Colin St. Maxens and Ralph Blasey won the match 2-1 with Matt Barnes and Joe Murray winning the front 9 point. Last match had Brian Hicks making two late birdies on 15 & 16 with his partner Ryan McCarthy to win 2.5 points to Columbia’s Doug Hudson and Nick Graziani .5 point

At Argyle, Mike VanLenten and Luke Schaap won 2.5 points over Mike Mitchell and Timothy Golden .5 but Mitchell was able to birdie 18th hole get the last critical .5 point after the rain delay.The second match saw Brendan Peel and Mike McCarthy winning 2.5 point to Jack Bonifant and Ronnie Kim .5 point. In the 3rd match, Patrick McCormick and Ryan Moylan won 2 point after losing the front nine point to Billy Peel and Pat McCarthy.
