January 26, 2023

BALTIMORE – Today, the Middle Atlantic Golf Association (MAGA) and the Washington Metropolitan Golf Association (WMGA) announced that PGA Tour Player Denny McCarthy, currently ranked 80th in the world, will serve as a sponsor for the Williamson Cup and Mason Dixon Teams for the next three years.

“The Associations are very thankful for Denny’s generosity and his support of these team championships,” said Moose Brown, Executive Director, Middle Atlantic Golf Association and Washington Metropolitan Golf Association.”

“I grew up playing in all the WMGA junior events and playing the Middle Atlantic Amateur each fall. These local and regional events helped me shape my game and prepare to play on the National Stage. They also provided the reward of making teams such as the Williamson Cup Team and the Mason Dixon Team,” said Denny McCarthy. “These events allowed me to travel and test my game against players up and down the East Coast while enjoying the great camaraderie of my fellow Maryland teammates. I hope this money can make these events as special for the current players as it was for me.”
