Highlighted by the Metropolitan Amateur at the Norbeck Country Club in early August, the schedule includes some previous venues as well as new ones. The Metropolitan Mid-Am returns to the Blue Mash GC, where it was held in 2016 and won by Bryan Kozloszky. Blue Mash was also the site of U.S.Open local qualifying in 2018 and will likely be again in 2020. The Senior Amateur is at the Belmont CC in Ashburn, Virginia and the Four-Ball Championship will be conducted at the recently renovated Augustine GC in Stafford, Virginia.
The WMGA Junior Championships are at Worthington Manor (Schoolboy), Bob Riley Junior Open at Belle Haven, the Bobby Gorin at Woodmont CC on the North Course, and the Bubby Worsham Memorial at the Bethesda CC. The Worsham will again feature the Ridgway (13 and Under), Ricketts (14-15 and 16-18), and Young Am (19-24) divisions. A third day/round has been added for the low scores from the Ricketts 16-18 and Young Am Divisions to determine the over-all Worsham Champion.
USGA qualifiers are as follows: U. S. Open local – Worthington Manor GC, U. S.Amateur – Hobbit’s Glen GC, and the U. S. Mid-Amateur – Bretton Woods RC. Bretton Woods reopened at the end off 2017 after a major renovation and is outstanding.
The WMGA Team Matches will be held at their regular times – Senior A-Team in mid April to early May and the A-Team in mid to late July.
