WMGA A-Team Final – Argyle CC vs Lakewood CC

After several weeks of elimination matches and the quarter and semi-finals of the Final 8, it is down to two – Argyle CC in Silver Spring and Lakewood CC in Rockville.  A 15 minute drive across the Inter County Connector – Md Rte 200 – and the teams will meet to decide the 2022 WMGA A-Team Champion.

Argyle CC won the coin toss and is the home team for the match.  Both clubs had enjoyed a home team advantage in the quarters and semis.  Kevin Taylor, PGA is the lead for Argyle and David Crawmer, PGA the lead for Lakewood.  Both squads feature a strong cadre of high school and college players, as the rules for the WMGA team matches allow for any member who is 18 or over.  Both courses are in excellent shape, despite the searing temps of recent days.  With an 11:30 AM start, the matches should start turning just after 1:30 PM and conclude around 4:00.  We will post updates below as we get them.
