Local Belle Haven Member beats the “Big” Boys

Bell Haven member Owen Love (70-69) won the 96th Bob Riley Junior Open at Belle Haven Country Club. This 36 hole stroke play event was held July 18-19 on the Alexandra course with views of the Potomac River. The 14 year old’s game has had big improvements this year according to Head Golf Professional, John Kauzlarich, and they were on full display over the 6600 yard course. The first round leader, Dustin Stocksdale (68-72) from Ellicott City, Maryland, had a difficult front nine but came home strong to make close at the end. Tied for 3rd Overall was Patrick Pritsios (75-71) and Andrew Ludwin (76-70).

Since Love won the overall, this left the 14-15 division winner Sachin Kundra (77-84) of Bethesda Country Club the winner with Connor Hartman second and Nicolas Mantzouranis third.

The 13 and under had Evan Goldsborough winning over Tyler Lambert and Thomas Regala third.
