Finals will be a match of neighbors, Argyle CC versus Manor CC. Less than ten minutes separates the two clubs, located just over a mile from one another as the crow flies. Argyle CC last won the A-Team Matches when it defeated the University of Maryland GC in 2014 in a play-off. Argyle also won in 2001 and 2008. Manor CC won in 2012 when it defeated Columbia CC by a score of 11 – 7. They won for the first time in 1986.

Army Navy plays Manor CC – Manor is the home team
Argyle CC and The Cannon Club were tied after regulation and Argyle went on to win the play-off on the first extra hole. Argyle partners Kevin Taylor, PGA and Patrick McCormick birdied the first hole against Dennis Winters, PGA and his partner, Ron Thomas.
Maryland National GC, which upended defending champ and neighbor Beaver Creek CC in the opening round of the preliminary rounds was knocked off by Crofton CC in a close match.
Army Navy CC was victorious over International CC in the contest between the Virginia clubs.
The semi-finals should be close on both ends of the final brackets.
